Did you know that you can use ToolBook to create surveys and use your LMS to collect the information you collect?

The only thing that is required is ToolBook and an LMS which is able to show question level feedback in reports.

This article and sample files demonstrates how one can control if the user clicks the window x rather than the navigation provided within the content. This solves a very common problem which causes a lot of support: Users close a course using the x one last page thinking they passed a test, only to find later that the course was marked as incomplete.

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could have pixel precise layouts in ToolBook HTML using css?
Well now you can.

This sample demonstrates how one can use an external css style sheet to dynamically change the visual appearance of ToolBook content when published to HTML.

And the best part?  This requires no post "publish to HTML" edits in the published files.

 When SumTotal announced that the upcoming version of ToolBook (version 9.5) would add support for creating Elearning for the Apple Iphone, I immediately replaced my trusty 6 year old Nokia with an Iphone.  The idea that one could easily create Elearning for a mobile device appealed greatly to me, I also needed a new phone - and well - it was a great excuse to buy a cool gadget.
I have now used the iPhone for a few months and it is not so much a cool gadget for me anymore but a very useful tool that I use every day. In this article I will share my experiences of using the iPhone and some thoughts on how one can use the iPhone for learning purposes.
