What is it
The ToolBook Color Picker works like the eyedropper tool in Adobe Photoshop and other Tools, with the exception that the ToolBook color picker captures colors from the entire desktop.

Installing
Download the ToolBook Color Picker version 1.0.2 (43 KB) for ToolBook 2004 or 9.0 and upzip it. (You will find the it on the
download page). Then run the ColrPick.sbk file.
Note: If you have already installed a previous version of the color picker simply overwrite the existing ColrPick.sbk located in the ToolBook product directory (typically C:\Program files\Click2learn\Instructor 2004 for ToolBook 2004, and C:\Program Files\ToolBook\Instructor 9 for ToolBook 9)
A tool like this is not very useful as a standalone application, so if you click the text at the bottom where it’s says
"Click here to permanently add to menu" it will add an entry to the view menu. For details on what happens see
Uninstalling.
Instructions for use
Click the eyedropper icon to pick it up, release the mouse when you are satisfied with your selection.
You can drag the sliders to adjust the color, and you can double click either the HEX or the RGB field to copy the value to the clipboard. It is also possible to enter a color in either of the HEX or RGB fields.
Once you are satisfied with color, you can apply it as the fill color or stroke color (where applicable) to the selected object(s) by selecting either fill or stroke and pressing OK.
Uninstalling
What happens when the "Click here to permanently add to menu" is clicked is that the file copies itself to the ToolBook product directory (commonly C:\Program files\Click2learn\Instructor 2004) and add an entry in instructor.ini.
[Startup options]
System Books=C:\PROGRA~1\CLICK2~1\INSTRU~2\ColrPick.sbk
This ensures that the book is loaded when you open ToolBook, and the color picker is accessible through the view menu.
To uninstall: remove the reference in instructor.ini - either manually, or better open ToolBook and go to the view/options menu, select startup, find the color picker in the list of startup system books and click remove. After this is done you need to manually delete the file ColrPick.sbk in the ToolBook product directory.
